Check-in: how to obtain boarding passes

On some Baleària Canarias routes you can board directly without going to the ticket office, simply by presenting the identity document with which you made the reservation.

Can I board without a boarding pass?

Yes. On the inter-island routes of the Canary Islands and on the Canary Islands–Cádiz route, you can access boarding directly with your valid DNI, NIE or passport, whether you are travelling on foot or boarding with a vehicle.

This service is available to both resident and non-resident passengers, provided the system allows it.

Our staff will carry out the check-in directly at the ship access point.

When do I have to go to the ticket office?

You must go to the port offices if the system indicates that it is necessary to validate your documentation or collect the boarding pass at the ticket office.

This may happen in cases such as:

  • Tickets with discounts that have not been previously justified.
  • Reservations whose supporting documentation is not recorded in the system.
  • Journeys operated by other companies.
  • Group reference numbers.
  • Any other reservation where you are expressly notified that you must go to the ticket office.

What document must I present to board?

You must present the document used when purchasing the ticket:

  • DNI
  • NIE
  • Passport
  • Driving licence, if applicable

The document must be valid and in good condition so that it can be read correctly during boarding.

In the case of passports, make sure they are compatible with the ICAO 9303 standard for machine-readable documents.

Online check-in on other routes

For the remaining routes, you can obtain your boarding passes:

  • At the port ticket offices.
  • Through online check-in on the website.

You can print or download your boarding pass from 14 days before departure, provided the reservation is paid and any discounts, if applicable, are correctly justified.

Conditions to obtain the boarding pass

To be able to obtain or use the boarding pass:

  • The reservation must be paid.
  • The documentation must be correctly associated with the reservation.
  • Residence or large family discounts must be previously justified.
  • The document presented at boarding must match the one used in the purchase.
