It depends on the accommodation in which your pet travels. At Baleària Canarias, there are options where your pet can stay with you throughout the crossing and others where they will travel in a specific area of the ship.
If you travel with Pet&You or Pet&You XL
Yes. With the Pet&You accommodations, your pet can travel beside you throughout the crossing, on a mat placed next to your seat.
You can choose between Pet&You and Pet&You XL depending on the size of your pet and availability for your trip.
If you travel in a pet friendly Cabin
Yes. In this accommodation, your pet can stay with you inside the cabin throughout the crossing.
Pet friendly cabins have a bed for each pet and a drinking bowl. Additionally, after each journey, a specific cleaning and sanitising service is carried out.
Depending on the route, you will also have a schedule to walk your pet on a deck designated for this purpose.
If you travel in a Pet Friendly Seat
Yes. The Pet Friendly Seat allows your pet to travel with you throughout the journey.
Your pet must remain inside their carrier throughout the crossing, placed on your lap or at the foot of the seat. The combined weight of the pet and carrier must not exceed 10 kg.
Only one pet per passenger is allowed in this accommodation, and availability depends on the ship, route, and available seats.
If your pet travels in a Calm House
In this case, your pet will travel in a specific area of the ship and will not stay with you throughout the crossing.
Calm Houses are protected, ventilated, and conditioned spaces for transporting pets. Depending on the ship, they may be located on the deck, in the garage, or other areas designated for companion animals.
You will be able to visit your pet during the journey at the times and under the conditions set by the crew.
Can I see my pet during the journey?
If your pet travels in a Calm House and the ship has a video monitoring system, you can check on how they are from your mobile device via the cameras installed on board.
This service is not available on all ships.
